Main Job Description
Strong professional experience in Insurance Property & Casualty and/or Life domain as a
Business Analyst in software projects
Must have a proven track record of Customer Engagement - driving discussions,
facilitation across workshops/interactions with customers and senior business
stakeholders
Strong knowledge in at least one of these Insurance segments
o PC Personal LoBs and products – Motor, Medical/Health, Property, Travel, etc
o PC Commercial LoBs and products – Motor, Group Medical/Health, Property,
Workers Comp, Liability, Engineering/Construction, Marine Cargo & Hull, etc
o Life Insurance – Individual and Group
Proven work experience on business and reporting systems in the areas of Policy
administration, Claims, NB, Underwriting, Rating, Reinsurance, CRM, HR, Compliance
and ODS
Proven abilities in Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, Test Design, Test Execution,
Test reporting, and Defect life cycle management and Change Management, and
Process Implementations.
Hands on experience in Capability, Information and Data Models of ACORD or any other
Insurance industry Information models
Hands on experience in data migration and data integration projects will be preferred
Experience of working on any industry leading Insurance applications like GuideWire,
DuckCreek, will be preferred.
Experience of working with customers in US &/or Europe is an added advantage.
Strong Communication skills, both written and verbal ( Attention to detail is a must)
Thorough understanding of the SDLC cycle. Experience on working in Agile Projects
Role Description / Activities:
Co-ordinates with Multiple Business Stakeholders, Conducts Requirement Workshops
and
o captures data requirements of various business processes belonging to various
departments of the enterprise
o captures data requirements of various transactions belonging to various systems
like Policy Admin systems, Claims Management systems, HR, CRM, Finance etc
Maps above business data requirements to ACORD information and data models
Works with technical architects, developers and testers
Single point of contact for a team of developers, testers and designers (both onsite and
offshore) for any clarifications around business processes and data fields and ACORD
data model
Leads complex requirement analysis / research on his/her own and validates the
requirements with Business stakeholders
Delivers requirement artifacts in terms of detailed data mapping specification documents.
Ability to visualize and document the functional requirements in smaller manageable/
deliverable chunks.
Tests and analyzes each component/phase of the systems development life cycle
including the project requirements, design and programs. Conducts quality-control tests
and analyses to ensure that software meets or exceeds specified standards and end-user
requirements.
Managing teams of business analysts in handling the end-to-end requirements
management process at customer’s location. Guide and advise less-experienced
analysts.

MBA / MCA or similar qualifications
Certification
Professional certifications in insurance like ACII / CPCU / AIII
