Manage & report the file systems of direct-attached storage devices, network attached file systems, other intelligent storage devices 

Manage & report on file system & storage allocation and components of manageable storage arrays, including service processors & disk controllers. In addition, the vendor will manage the SAN controlling software which controls provisioning & advanced storage features. Also responsible for creating internal snap shots & mirrored disk volumes using replication software.
